Join Best Western Rewards®, Best Western's FREE rewards program. As a member you will receive :

  • Collect 1000 points with AVIS rental

    1,000 points are issued to Best Western Rewards members for each paid rental at Avis at participating
    locations worldwide. The members must do the following in order to receive points:

    • The BWR member must state the Rewards membership number at time of reservation.
    • The member must present his / her card when signing the Avis rental agreement.
    • BWR member can expect the points on his/her account within 1 month.

     

    Which rates are eligible?

    Handling when Avis points are missing (retro claim)

    Best Western Rewards members may claim points on rentals that took place within 6 months prior to the claim date. Points will not be awarded for rentals older than 6 months. BWR members who claim to be eligible for points on an Avis rental must do the following:

    1. Each Avis local European website has an area called “Claim Your Missing Miles / Points”. The member has to access that website.
    2. Then the member enters all required fields, especially the membership program “Best Western Rewards”, the membership number etc.
    3. The sender receives an e-mail with the confirmation of the receipt.
    4. Avis verifies the membership number according a specific algorithm and checks automatically the retro claim conditions (e.g. 6 months period).
    5. Avis checks the qualifying rates according the rental agreement number and accepts or rejects the request.
    6. Avis sends the results via e-mail to the provided e-mail address.
  • Earn points with Sixt

    Best Western Hotels has a partner agreement with Sixt that include a possibility to change points for car rental but also to collect 1,000 Best Western Rewards points per car rental and 2,000 points per limousine rental.

    Collecting points for car rentals
    1,000 points are issued to Best Western Rewards members for each paid* rental at Sixt at participating locations worldwide. 2,000 points are issued for limousine rentals. To receive BWR points members must do the following:

    • The Best Western Rewards member must present the membership card when signing the rental agreement.
    • The points are entered in the Sixt reservation system. These points are forwarded on
      a monthly base to  Best Western Rewards member's account.

    Handling when Sixt points are missing (retro claims)
    Best Western Rewards members can claim points on rentals that took place within the last six months prior to the claim date here.

    *Discounts do not apply for the following rates:
    Employee rates, tour operator rates, long term rentals, shuttle rates, special internet rates,
    seasonal rates (e.g. Christmas rates), certain corporate rates.
     

  • Collect miles from Best Western stays

    Best Western Rewards members have the option to receive rewards with one of several global airline partners. Members can earn 600 Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Points, 20 AIR MILES® reward miles, or at least 250 airline/partner rewards for each qualifying stay at Best Western hotels worldwide.

    To receive airline or other partner rewards, members must be a member of one of the airlines below and have their Best Western Rewards® profile earning preference set to the airline or other partner reward of their choice, provide their partner membership number, and provide their Best Western Rewards® membership card or number at hotel check in. You can change the point collecting preference by contacting Best Western Rewards service.

    If you are missing miles from a Best Western hotel, please contact your airline's frequent flier club service for retro claim.

  • Polska Sieć Taxi 19123 - Electronic Client Card

    Polska Sieć Taxi 19123 is new Best Western Rewards partner in Poland starting from December 2013. Polish Rewards members can exchange their points to a Taxi Electronic Client Cards and use these in the majority of Polish cities including Warsaw, Katowice, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia, Lublin, Rzeszów, Białystok, Gorzów, Kielce, Poznan or Opole.

When do the program changes take effect?

The new Best Western Rewards program begins January 1, 2016.

 Why are you making these changes?

Best Western Rewards is widely acknowledged as one of the premier loyalty programs within the travel industry. These changes reflect a continued commitment to provide our members with superior customer care.

 I haven’t had activity recently. Will my points expire?

Under the current program, points expire after 13 months of inactivity. After January 1, 2016, points will no longer expire. If you haven’t had account activity recently, be sure to log in to your account and check the date of your last transaction to make sure you won’t lose your points before the new rule takes effect.

Will it become easier to earn points in the new program?

Absolutely. Many rate plans do not earn points today. While some reservations will continue to be ineligible (link to section terms and conditions) for points, the overwhelming majority of reservations will be eligible to earn points.

What are the benefits of the Gold and Diamond Select elite levels?

Gold elite members will receive a bonus of 10%. Diamond Select members will receive a bonus of 50%, in addition to other exclusive benefits. Your activity after January 1, 2016 will count toward qualification in these new elite levels.

Will the number of points required for free night redemption increase?

Today, the number of points required for a free night at a given hotel is typically the same year-round. After January 1, point levels will be adjusted to vary by month. While certain hotels may require more points at certain times of the year, the overall number of points required for redemption is expected to decrease. To view hotel-specific point level requirements, please select ‘Best Western Rewards points’ from the special rates drop-down box on www.bestwestern.fi (Finland) and www.bestwestern.pl (Poland).

Will the number of rooms available for free night redemption increase?

Absolutely—as part of these changes, every Best Western branded hotel will make a certain portion of its rooms available for free night redemption. In addition, free nights will no longer be subject to blackout dates.

What else besides free nights will I be able to get with my points?

In addition to free night vouchers, Best Western Travel Cards, and airline miles, a number of gift card and other redemptions options will be offered under the new program.

How do I review and update my account information?

To view your account information, please log on to www.bestwestern.fi ( Finland) and www.bestwestern.pl (Poland). If you need assistance logging in, please call 0800 12010 (Finland) and 00800-441 1669 (Poland).

What if I no longer wish to participate in the program?

Will I be receiving a new membership card?

If you met the qualifications for elite status in 2015 (10 or more night OR 10,000 or more points), you will receive new membership credentials. If you enrolled online, you will be given your Best Western Rewards® card number so you can begin using your account right away, however, your card will not be mailed out until after your first stay has been posted to your account. The Rewards Team will determine the equivalent Best Western Rewards ®Elite tier/status level that matches the Competitor Loyalty elite status, based upon a review of number of night stays required to meet the comparable elite tier/status levels. Elite tier/status levels available through Best Western Rewards ® are Platinum Elite (awarded after 15 qualified nights in one calendar year) and Diamond Elite (awarded after 30 qualified nights in one calendar year). A "qualified night" is defined as one night in an individual Best Western hotel at a rate eligible for Best Western Rewards ®. A new Elite Best Western Rewards ® card will be shipped to the member's profile address within 2 to 3 weeks following the status change. Membership and membership card

  • A member must be the age of majority in that member's state of residence.
  • Your signature on the membership card Best Western Rewards® Card (in short: Card) confirms that you accept the conditions of Best Western Rewards®. If the signature does not appear on the card, the card is invalid.
  • The Card remains the property of Best Western and cannot be used as credit card.
  • The Card is not transferable and must be submitted at check-in and check-out. Corporations and legal persons cannot be members.
  • If the Card is used as guarantee for a reservation and is not cancelled in time and the booking is not taken up, a cancellation fee amounting to the cost for the first night's stay is due.
  • Best Western reserves the right to cancel any Best Western Rewards® membership and revoke any and all unredeemed Best Western Rewards® points collected by any member for reasons that include, but are not limited to: 1) violation of these Terms and Conditions; 2) misrepresentation of any information or any misuse of this Program; 3) violation of any national, state or local law or regulation in connection with the use of membership privileges; 4) failure to pay for hotel charges; 5) a check to a participating hotel brand that is returned for insufficient funds or is invalid for any reason; 6) commission of fraud or abuse involving any portion of this Program; 7) more than one active account per member; or 8) action, in any other way, determined to be offensive to, or to the detriment of the Program or any of its alliances; all as may be determined by BWI in its sole discretion.
  • Please inform Best Western immediately about changes in name or address. The corresponding Best Western Rewards® Member Service (in short: BWR Service) for the member's country of residence can be found on www.bestwesternrewards.com.
  • On loss or theft please contact Best Western, so that a replacement Card can be issued; this Card obviously has the same membership number. The accumulated Points and the status remain.
  • The member is responsible that the Card is used in accordance with the conditions of his/her company's travel policy.
  • The private use of Points, which are accumulated during a business stay, are subject to applicable tax law. The member is responsible for the correct tax payment.
  • The advantages of the individual Cards (Gold Card, Gold Elite Card, Platinum Card, Diamond Card) are only available to the cardholder and are not transferable.
  • Best Western reserves the right to change the conditions or to cancel the Best Western Rewards® Program at any time. Similarly, Best Western reserves the right to change the advantages, the Point allocation, the miles allocation, the Point basis as well as any other program conditions at any time.
  • Should Best Western cancel the Best Western Rewards® Program or if the membership expires, all collected Points lapse.

  • Best Western Rewards® Points (in short: Points) may be earned at all Best Western brand lodging establishments worldwide.
  • Points are issued for accommodation at a rate of 10 Points per US dollar spent. The conversion rate to other currencies is regularly fixed by Best Western.
  • Points are granted on almost all room rates, except for tours and groups, meetings and conferences, tour operator and wholesale rates, Best Western Rewards® free nights, price line and other auction sites, hotel-contracted rates (e.g. extended stay) and crew, employee and travel industry discounts as well as unit-based Travel Cards (AC/UC rate).
  • As of 1.1.2014 Best Western hotels in Finland, the Baltic States and Poland grant points only for bookings that are made via GDS linked to Best Western, Best Western branded website, Best Western toll-free line or directly to the Best Western hotel (phone, email or hotel's website).
  • BWR members collect a minimum of 500 points per package.
  • Points are issued on check-out. A subsequent Point allocation for a Best Western Rewards® member is only possible within 6 months if a copy of the hotel invoice is sent to the corresponding BWR Service. If the guest has not been a member at the time of stay, a subsequent Point allocation is only possible for qualified stays 30 days or less before the beginning of the membership and with the copy of the hotel invoice.
  • Points are not issued if the stay is paid with Points or a Free Night Voucher.
  • Points are only awarded for the room night expenditure. Collecting only nights is not permitted.
  • Points are only credited to the member, regardless of who actually pays.
  • Points are not assignable, saleable, transferable, replaceable or redeemable for cash other than as stated herein. Members cannot add their Points together. However, members can share points since 1.3.2012 with the other members of the club (Best Western Rewards in Finland, Baltic States and Poland). The member must contact Best Western Rewards club service and inform how many points and to whom he/she wants to share the points with.
  • If the member is part of a group, then the Points are only credited for the room occupied by the member personally. Points are not credited to other persons of the group.
  • If Points have not been credited, the member can contact the corresponding BWR Service.
  • If no Points are collected or redeemed within 13 months after the previous stay, all accumulated Points will lapse.
  • Best Western, its agents, employees and travel partners will not be responsible for award requests or correspondence lost or delayed by any postal service or carrier.

Redeeming points

  • All current awards can be viewed at the local club site and ordered via BWR Service.
  • Determination and payment of tax liability is the responsibility of the Best Western Rewards® Program participant.
  • Best Western will not be responsible for lost or stolen awards certificates. All Best Western Rewards® Awards are subject to revision by Best Western, in its sole and absolute discretion. Point amounts for each Award are subject to change at any time without notice.
  • If the member elects a free night, the required Points will be debited from his/her account by the hotel.
  • Unless arranged otherwise, Points cannot be utilized in combination with cash payments, special offers, coupons or other special offers.
  • A free night stay as an Award has to be reserved in advance and explicitly requested at the time of reservation. Free nights can be taken up at all Best Western Hotels according to availability. These are valid for one to two persons in a single or double room (including breakfast in some countries) on any day of the week. Free nights cannot be combined with any other promotional offers.
  • Free Night Vouchers are valid for 6 months; this period of validity cannot be extended.
  • The complete terms and conditions of the Best Western Travel Card® can be viewed on travelcard.bestwestern.com.
  • Travel Cards/Free Night Vouchers which are not used cannot be paid out in cash.
  • All Awards listed are from independent suppliers with the exception of Best Western Travel Cards® and Free Night Awards and are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by that supplier. Each independent supplier reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate any or all rules, regulations or offers at any time without notice. Best Western shall not be liable for any supplier change(s).
  • Free Night Awards can only be ordered through www.bestwesternrewards.com, the BWI Service or booked directly at a Best Western Hotel. Third parties like travel agencies cannot exchange Points into Free Night Awards.

Collecting miles

  • In order to earn airline miles you must be a member and indicate your preference to either earn airline miles or program Points. You must expressly indicate your airline program preference and provide your frequent flyer membership number to the BWR Service. When registering in a Best Western Hotel, the data can be collected there.
  • The current list of partner airlines can be viewed on www.bestwesternrewards.com
  • Each airline reserves the right to change their program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers at any time without notice and each airline is not responsible for programs, products or services offered by other participating companies. Best Western shall not be liable for any airline change(s).
  • Miles may be earned at all Best Western brand lodging establishments worldwide.
  • Miles are awarded per qualified stay. A qualified stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights at the same Best Western Hotel, regardless of numbers of check-ins and check-outs, at a Best Western Rewards® qualified rate. Qualified rates are almost all room rates, except for tours and groups, meetings and conferences, tour operator and wholesale rates, Best Western Rewards® free nights, price line and other auction sites, hotel-contracted rates (e.g. extended stay) and crew, employee and travel industry discounts as well as unit-based travel cards (AC/UC rate).   • Miles will accumulate on the basis of a minimum of 250 miles per qualified stay.
  • For a stay, either Points or miles may be earned. The member can decide for each stay if points or miles are collected.
  • In order to assure that miles are awarded, members must present the Card or the airline program membership card at check-in and check-out.
  • Miles are only credited to the member, regardless of who actually pays.
  • If the member is part of a group, then the miles are only credited for the room occupied by the member personally. Miles are not credited to other persons of the group.
  • If miles have not been awarded, the member can contact the customer service of the corresponding airline program or the BWR Service. A subsequent mileage allocation is possible for qualified stays 30 days or less before the first registration at Best Western. For registered Best Western Rewards® members a subsequent allocation is possible according to the terms and conditions of the corresponding airline program.

Membership at Platinum and Diamond levels

  • As soon as a member has spent 15 nights within 12 months in Best Western Hotels, the membership is automatically upgraded to Platinum and after 30 nights within 12 months automatically to Diamond.
  • In order to retain the Platinum or Diamond status beyond a calendar year, the member must spend 15 or 30 nights in Best Western Hotels respectively within the following calendar year.
  • Platinum members receive 10% Bonus Points per qualified stay, Diamond members 15%. Platinum and Diamond members receive a room upgrade, early check-in or late check-out upon request and on availability. The advantages for Platinum or Diamond members can vary from hotel to hotel.
  • In order to make use of the advantages, a reservation reference has to be made to the particular status and the Card has to be displayed at check-in.
  • Best Western retains the right at all times to change the conditions for Platinum and Diamond members.

Force majeure

If the use of the Card is restricted by occurrences which are subject to an act of God, such as strikes, fire, war and the like, Best Western cannot be held liable.

Data protection and privacy policy

By signing the Card you give your consent that Best Western Hotels in the framework of the Best Western Rewards® Program may save, utilize and use and transfer your personal data to business partners in order to manage the program's activities and communications. You are free not to disclose this client data. However, in this case it may not be possible to deliver you the benefits of the Rewards Program.

The Rewards Program is a worldwide program, which allows you to obtain your advantages nearly all over the world. We must have the possibility to exchange or share our client information with Best Western International, Inc. and the corporations belonging thereto (BWI corporations) so that these advantages can be delivered in other countries with Best Western Hotels. We would also like to have the possibility to share customer information with particularly selected partner corporations (marketing partners) to offer you additional services or assist us in offering you additional services as a Best Western Rewards® member. The headquarters of some BWI companies and marketing partners are located outside EU (Switzerland).
